The presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, will celebrate Christmas with underprivileged Nigerians at the internally displaced persons’ camps in the Ibaji and Idah areas of Benue State.

He is expected to join other Catholic faithful from Kogi State for the celebration.

According to a statement by the state Chairman of the party, Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed, in Lokoja, Obi will spend time with the IDPs in the spirit of the festive season.

The statement read, “In the spirit of the joyful season, His Excellency, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Gregory Obi, will be celebrating Christmas, with the underprivileged living in the IDP camps around the Idah and Ibaji areas.

“The parishioners of St Boniface Catholic Cathedral, Sabongari, and all Christian faithful in Idah, Kogi State, Nigeria, will join the celebration. We encourage all patriots that are set out to rescue our dear country to stay motivated as we work together towards achieving a new Nigeria that our unborn children will be proud of.”
