Uzodinma Iweala, the son to former Finance minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala recently paid a visit to the White House on Thursday February 12.

He was invited to speak to a panel about child soldiers. His movie Beast of No Nation was later screened at Einsenhower building, White House same day. The US House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi was at the screening.

His proud mother took to her Facebook timeline to celebrate him.

On the red carpet of the premiere of Beasts of No Nation that was held on Saturday, December 12 at Silverbird Cinema, Lagos, Uzodinma Iweala proposed to Nollywood star Genevieve Nnaji.

Uzodinma who is the author of the book from which the movie Beasts of No Nation was adapted, made a mock proposal to Genevieve in the full glare of all in the manliest way while cameras were clicking away.

Genevieve couldn’t but gush away while he knelt down in front of her.
