Professor Protus Nathan Uzorma, a chieftain of the United Progressives Party (UPP) and a social critic has urged the agitators for a Igbo president in 2019, to give up the idea.
The UPP chieftain, who spoke during a press conference in Owerri, said that “Ndigbo should rather begin to organize themselves for the 2023 presidential race, instead of embarking on a wild goose chase in 2019,” Vanguard reports.
According to him, since the sitting president is constitutionally entitled to a second tenure and would definitely go for it, it would be a herculean task for Ndigbo to win.
Professor Uzorma, dismissed the administration of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imo state describing it as a disaster that has impoverished the masses over the years.
