Nigerian international Chibuzor Okonkwo, who made a surprise come back to the Super Eagles under current coach Samson Siasia, on Saturday, April 16, 2016 had his traditional wedding in Abagana, Njikoka local government area of Anambra state.

The 2008 Beijing Olympics silver medalist traditionally tied the knot with his sweetheart Stella Nkiruka Ezidiegwu and had in attendance traditional chiefs, business moguls, Nollywood stars as

well as fellow footballers.

The Anambra-born defender was dressed in a white Dashiki and konkosa, a matching cap and coral beads to adorn both his wrist, neck, as well as compliment his looks.

The father of the bride, Chief Stephen Ezidiegwu, who incidentally, was a talented footballer in his youth, expressed his delight at seeing his beautiful daughter married to a man who shares a similar passion and talent with himself. He wished the young couple love and harmony in their new home while admonishing them to live in peace with each other.

“I give you my blessings as both if you become one today. No one will come between you. You will come between no one as well. May God Almighty make your marriage fruitful.” He told the couple.
