Science Ministry, Anambra Develop Framework on Technological Innovations

The Minister of Science and Technology, Alhaji Abdul Bulama, and the Governor of Anambra state Chief Willie Obiano, have agreed on the development of a suitable framework for working together, in areas of erosion control and policy to push the implementation of science technology in the state.

Making the disclosure in Abuja at the weekend while hosting the Governor on his first official assignment, Bulama said he was delighted to collaborate with Anambra state in key areas of the ministry’s mandates that would at the end of the day lead to massive job creation in the state.
He said: “This partnership is a good one; it should be promoted among other states of the federation. I recommend all relevant agencies, state governors to follow this trend by developing this culture of collaboration for the overall achievements of government objectives.”
While expressing appreciation for the partnership, he pledged that the ministry would come up with solutions that would help in addressing the myriads of issues that the governor is seeking solutions to.

He said: “The ministry is willing to assistance and to partner Anambra state in key areas of science and technology, commercialisation of technology innovations, climate change and collaboration between the state and the ministry especially in science innovation.
“I know that the state that is badly affected by erosion, now this is an opportunity for all of us to develop a strategic approach that would help in preventing the environmental menace. We shall look at all these areas and see how we can develop this further to translate to the benefit and growth of the country”, he added.
