A 23-Year-Old university student has been arrested by officers of the  National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for drug possession.

The suspect, a student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Anambra state, was nabbed on Thursday with 48 pinches of the illegal substance, in Awka.

Speaking to journalists, the Commander of the NDLEA in Anambra, Mr  Sule Momodu, said the arrest was made in a raid in Awka.

He said three other suspects;  a 24-year-old man caught with 400 kg of cannabis, a 39-year-old man caught with 150kg of cannabis and a 26-year-old who had  130kg of cannabis in his possession, were arrested.

Mr. Momodu said the suspect would be arraigned after investigations had been concluded.
