Among Nigerians, “Sack Igbos from the North” became a hot topic less than 24 hours after sixteen Northern Youth Groups rose from a joint meeting in Kaduna yesterday to give Igbo residing in their states up to October 1, 2017 to vacate the region.

Mallam Abdulazeez Suleiman who read the statement issued on behalf of others youths at the meeting said the North were tired of the political marriage existing in the country.

In reaction, the Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has said that there will be grave consequences if Sack of Igbos from the North became more than a threat.

He however took to his Twitter handle to caution against the threat made by the Northern Coalition Groups.

Fani-Kayode wrote: “Threatening the Igbo and kicking them out of the north won’t help.This time round the Middle Belt and the whole south will stand with them.”

“We want peace by restructuring and not violence. Unleashing genocide against the Igbo or anyone else in north will have grave consequences,” he added.

Nigerians have also taken to micro-blogging website – Twitter – to air their views also on the Sack of Igbos from the North.
