The Ohanaeze youth council has vowed to submit the names of all corrupt politicians and looters of public treasury in the southeast to President Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement made available to The Punch, the national president of the group, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, said the list will be forwarded to the president in due time.

Isiguzoro urged similar groups in other geopolitical zones to follow this step by submitting names of corrupt politicians in their areas to the president.

The statement reads: “In the list are past and present looters of public funds. It will be made public very soon so that there will be no hiding place for such characters who brought woes to Ndigbo.

“Ohanaeze Youth Council also call on similar groups in other zones of the country to follow suit so that our nation will be sanitised once and for all.

“All efforts should be made to prosecute these looters to serve as deterrence to others, presently and in the future.

“The list is very comprehensive and Ohanaeze Youth Council will ensure that the loots are returned to Ndigbo and Nigerians,” the group said.

Meanwhile, the apex group has described the decision of some Igbos to beg President Muhammadu Buhari for appointments in his government as a disgrace to the Igbo nation.
