Mob Burns Robbers Alive In Anambra State

An angry mob around the popular Nkpor New Tyre Market, Anambra State, yesterday lynched two suspected robbers and setting them ablaze during the day time.

The criminals residents say, have been a pain in their neck because of their activities, which include robbing people at gunpoint.

The robbers however met their water loo this time as their attempt to rob a trader near the market turned out to be their last.

Their victim,  a Northern trader carrying new Naira notes in his bag was about to buy some goods at the market when the incident occured.

The trader who resisted their attempt to forcefully take his bag was shot at a near range but luckily for him the gunshots didn’t cause any harm because of the fake bullets inside the robbers gun.

The trader then stabbed one of them in his chest, which made the robbers to fall of their motorcycle and run over by an oncoming vehicle. S

Those who were watching the incident immediately mobilized themselves, turned to a mob, arrested the two robbers and set them ablaze”, an eye witnesses told Daily Post.

The divisional police officer in the town, Hassan Musa, confirmed the incident and said the gun and the motorbike used by the robbers were found in the scene of the incident and were gathered as evidence for onward investigation.
