dorobucci

Many people on the streets of the South-East used to be confused as to the real meaning of Dorobucci yet everyone I know across the east of the river Niger (i.e Igboland) loves the Dorobucci song by Mavin Clique. It could be due to the fact that the true meaning of Dorobucci resonates with the true nature of the Igbos.

Another ordinary fact that calls for wonder among the people of the South-East on the “Dorobucci” word and song is the fact that Mavin Clique first performed Dorobucci song on stage in Igboland, specifically in Ekwulobia in May this year during the 2014 Star Trek Mega Concerts.

Now, Dr. Sid had explained during an interview with Osun Defender that Dorobucci means a person or an individual that is awesome, amazing, rich, swagged-out, sexy and buff. Any word that qualifies greatness, that’s Dorobucci. Don Jazzy also agrees with Dr Sid when he told Akintayo Opeoluwan of Daily Times that Dorobucci means someone that is fun, cool, awesome, great or fantastic.

Going by this explanation many people have come to picture who a Dorobucci exactly is. If you look critically at Nigerians you will readily agree that Igbos are among the highest number of billionaires in Nigeria who made their money without looting the Federal accounts or, diverting crude oil in the South-South or hanging on to the advantage colonialism may have brought to other tribes especially the Yorubas.

The Igbos have a great number of billionaires is inspite of the 30 months civil war that ravaged almost every part of Igboland some 50 years ago. In fact, the Igbos have got so many Dorobucci’s that non-Nigerians don’t believe Igbos suffered the hardship of a civil war. Yes, I bet you will never see one  trace of that war no longer, if you step into the South-East..

What makes many Igbos become Dorobuccis? Why do they always rank among the top-five Dorrobucci’s in Nigeria? What knowledge do they have that gives them the edge to become Dorobuccis? What does an average Igbo person need to know to become a Dorobucci like his kinsmen? Having observed a lot of Dorobucci’s from the South-East, Obindigbo Magazine authoritatively presents to you the secret knowledge that makes a lot of Igbos rich people i. e Dorobuccis.

What You Need to Know To Become a Dorobucci

If you want to be a Dorobucci, you should know the difference between assets and liability. This is all you need to know. It is the only rule for becoming a Dorobucci.

Most people struggle financially because they do not know how the difference between an asset and a liability affects them.. Dorobuccis buy assets, while the rest of the masses buy liabilities but think they are buying assets. How?

What is an asset?

We are not going to look up the words “asset” and “liability” in the dictionary, but we shall focus on how Dorobuccis in the Igboland define these two important terms. Looking at an asset through the eyes of a Dorobucci, we can say, anything that puts money in your pocket is an asset. And, a liability is anything that takes money out of your pocket. This is that secret knowledge many Igbo businessmen in Lagos, Onitsha, Aba, and Nnewi possess that many others do not have.

This is all you need to know. Simply spend your life buying assets, if you want to be a Dorobucci. Or, you can spend your life buying liabilities, if you want to be poor or middle class. It is not knowing this difference between assets and liability that causes many people to struggle financially. While those that know the difference keep cruising to the ultimate degree of Dorobucciness.

Remember that some highly educated professionals in Igboland work harder than they need to because they learned how to work hard but not have their money work for them. They cannot tell the difference between an asset and a liability.

Finally, just keep the following ideas in mind:

  • Dorobuccis buy assets. While, others buy liabilities but they think they are buying assets, and some that will never smell becoming a Dorobucci neither buy assets nor liabilities.
