Why Some Igbos Will Never Get Rich

472

igbosStatistics available to Obindigbo Magazine may indicate that, of all Igbos employed by the government and the private sector, only five percent will become rich after the of age 65.

Think about that statement. Only five percent of Igbos “retiring” after years of hard-work will be able to support themselves financially without any pension plan, retirement benefit, or other assistance

How depressing! Age creeps up on our people, especially as they approach 40 or 50 and, in panic, they suddenly realize that they are not going to be in that five percent.

What are the reasons behind such a low percentage of our people being able to live comfortably after 65? Why is financial independence so hard for some of our people to achieve?

The answer is simple – The Failed Education System of the South East states.

Today’s education system in Igboland has failed to teach the vast majority of our people how to build big businesses, how to make enough money for themselves through entrepreneurship activities, how to keep the money they make, and how to use money wisely.
