Shot Abia Commissioner In Stable Condition

DOCTORS at the Abia Specialist Hospital, Umuahia have been working round the clock to stabilise the condition of the state’s Commissioner for Agriculture Commissioner, Dr Ken Nwosu, who was reportedly shot by unknown gunmen Wednesday night while returning to his Olokoro Village home in Umuahia South Local Council.

The spokesman for the Abia State Police Command, Geoffrey Ogbonna, while confirming the incident, said investigation into the matter had begun.

Meanwhile, the Chief Medical Director, Dr Augustus Mbsnaso, has said the victim is responding to treatment, noting that the surgery on him was successful.

The CMD, who gave the disclosure during Governor Theodore Orji’s visit to the hospital, said he was personally monitoring the patient on hourly basis, describing his condition as stable
