Imo State Government Orders Demolition Of Uncompleted Buildings

The Imo State Government, has ordered the demolishing of abandoned buildings, in the state, within 48 hours following the discovery of explosives planted at the winners chapel, Owerri,

The Imo State governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, gave this directive while addressing stakeholders as a result of three bombs planted at the Winners Chapel in Owerri, the Imo State capital, Saturday night.

According to the governor, all the high perimeter fencings in Imo State were to be reduced to not more than 5ft.

In view of the foregoing, the state government had from June 16 launched ‘Operation Know Your Neighbour’, adding that those criminals were living in our midst in Imo State.

This directive of knowing your neighbour and what he does for a living was not only meant for Imo people, but also for strangers living in their midst.

Governor Okorocha instructed the traditional rulers in various communities to submit names of those who smoke Indian hemp and drug addicts to his office within a month for onward submission to the Commissioner of Police.

 

He advised Hausa community living in Owerri to seriously check influence of people entering into Ama Hausa.
