16 Batch ‘B’ Youth Corpers To Repeat Service This Year

16 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members of 2013 Batch ‘B’ In Ebonyi State will repeat their service year for Abandoning their service.

The State Coordinator of NYSC in the state, Mrs. Ngozi Nwatarali, who disclosed this yesterday, during the passing out of 1,562 corps members under 2013 Batch ‘B’ said two corps members lost their lives during the service year in the state.

She said that 10 corps members, who distinguished themselves during their service year in their various places of primary assignments, received awards.

The new coordinator said that the low-key passing out ceremony across the country was due to security challenges, stressing that the essence was to ensure the security of corps members and successful completion of the service.

She hinted of a plan to ensure that corps members posted to agricultural-based areas engage in agriculture.

Nwatarali commended Governor Martin Elechi for the cordial relationship with the NYSC, stressing that the corps would continue to key into the institutional and infrastructural development of the state.
