Uchebo got the country’s first equaliser before Uche Nwofor late minute leveler rescued a point for the second strings side assembled by Eagles’ head coach Stephen Keshi.
But the Circle Brugge of Belgium pole striker revealed that the Eagles need concerted support of all to achieve their target of storming the world in Brazil when the World Cup kicks off June 12th.
Uchebo added that so many things were at stake against the Scottish national team and that the pressure to perform to the minimum requirement of the coaches was the sole reason most of the players were not at optimum level against the Tartan Army.
The former Enugu Rangers’ striker however pointed out that with time the Eagles will fly and that at the World Cup finals they will be more than handful for their first round opponents-Argentina, Bosnia and Iran.
“It was a tough match and many things were at stake against Scotland. No player wants to make any mistake that will rule him out of the World Cup. We are also striving to impress the coaches too. Nigerians should be patient with us with time a formidable team will be raised and the Eagles will be among the teams to beat in Brazil,” Uchebo said in an interview.
Uchebo’s 41st minute deflected strike against the Scottish national team was his first international goal for the Eagles.
He debuted for Nigeria on March 5, 2014 in the goalless draw against Mexico in the United States.
